Hi, I'm Shirley Pando, instructor at My Creative Classroom and part of the website support team. In fact, if you email the MCC help desk (support.mcc@gmail.com), I'm the person you'll hear back from. :-)
For each of the first four months of 2014 I'm introducing another brand new online Cricut class:
- January - "Cricut: Crafting with Stencils" - Register now for immediate access!
- February - "Cricut: Crafting with Coloring Tools" - Register now for immediate access!
- March - "Cricut: Crafting with Vinyl" - Class begins March 24th
- April - "Cricut: Crafting with Fabric" (opening for registrations soon!)
I call these mini classes, but if you know me you know I don't do anything in a "mini" way. All my classes are packed to the gills, and these will be no different. A lesser price, sure, but no less info and projects. You just can't lose! :-)

Course Description
There are loads of ways you can use your Cricut machine to create projects with vinyl and vinyl-like materials. Choose a self-adhesive product in just about any color or pattern. Put it on your walls, a glass votive, or an artist canvas. You can even cut an image with heat transfer vinyl in either a matte or fuzzy texture and iron it onto a fabric item like a T-shirt or tote bag. The possibilities are almost endless.
In this class, students will learn how to cut adhesive vinyl, contact paper, heat transfer vinyl, and flocked heat transfer vinyl and create a project with each of these materials. Students will receive downloadable Cricut Craft Room files for the various projects, but I'll also share tips on how I create my files. Lessons offer several project options!
Use any Cricut machine and any cartridge you own. Students must have basic knowledge of their Cricut machine and the Cricut Craft Room (CCR).
Lessons Include:

I've always wanted to explore this medium, but I just don't know where to start! :)
ReplyDeleteI really have not used any other material but paper just because I am affraid of damaging the machine. But well, I am up to learning new ways to use it.
ReplyDeleteI would like to explore felt, thin wood veneer, and cork if possible.
ReplyDeleteI would like to learn how to use anything on my Cricut. I've had it for 2 years and have never actually put it to use. Thanks for the opportunity.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first got my Cricut cutting fabric was the one thing that was on my mind. I decided that paper would be a better choice but have now tried fabric and must say that I do enjoy it. Have cut vinyl once and didn't get good results so would love if I could learn that.
ReplyDeleteVinyl, flocked HTV, flannel, starched cotton.
ReplyDeleteBesides paper, the only other thing I've cut with my Cricut is indoor vinyl. I'd love to learn more about cutting other kinds of vinyl.
ReplyDeleteCassie
I bought vinyl but never used it yet. I would like to try fabric too.
ReplyDeleteI have tried chipboard, but the results were not very good. I am sure there is SO much I need to learn about my cricut! I was given a box full of different types of vinyl so I would love to learn all about them. Fabric would be my favorite thing to learn to cut. I love quilting & applique, so your next class would be wonderful. Thanks for the chance to win a free class.
ReplyDeleteI would like to learn to use felt, foam and thin wood veneer. Thank you for a chance to win the class.
ReplyDeleteI often use my Cricut with chipboard. I just love making mini books and other projects, I.e., boxes, tag books, etc. I only used my Cricut with vinyl once but it wasn't a great success. Maybe I used the wrong type of vinyl?!? I would love to win this class!
ReplyDeleteYears ago, I had a purchased wall quote saying "If you can't learn to do it well, learn to enjoy doing it badly." Since we moved eight years ago, I've wanted to recreate it for my home but have been so timid when it comes to doing anything on that scale or with that medium. I've got the transfer paper. I've got the vinyl. I'm so unsure how to proceed.
ReplyDeleteThis class would definitely move me in that direction.
Thanks -
Karla
Would like to win this class!
ReplyDeleteNever worked with vinyl but have always wanted to try. Would love to win this class.
ReplyDeleteI have had a Cricut for years but haven't used it much. I would love to learn more about what it can do
ReplyDeleteI would love to work with vinyl. My Cricut is in a bag in my storage locker. The online design program is soooooo slooooow i got too frustrated and gave up. Any help would be lovely. That's for the offer.
ReplyDeleteI already signed up for this class, but sure wouldn't mind winning it for free! Shirley - your classes rock!
ReplyDeleteI don't use my Cricut as much as I should. I do like cutting fabric & felt but have never tried vinyl. I'd love to try it!
ReplyDeleteWhile I haven't used anything but paper in my Cricut, I would LOVE to learn the right way (meaning - the successful way) to use vinyl and FABRIC. I have confidence Shirley that you are the guru who can show me the way to both of these endeavors.
ReplyDeleteI will be getting the Cricut Explore in the next few weeks. I love how it sets you up to create. I would like to learn about vinyl and fabric before I try it on a new machine, Ive taken a few MCC classes and have been happy with them
ReplyDeleteDawnRI
I have tried using chipboard on my Cricut and have not been successful. I even used the heavy duty blade. I would love to be able to do more with chipboard.
ReplyDeleteI have two rolls of vinyl that I got with my Cricut but have been "afraid" to try using them. It would be great to win a spot to the class!
